Miracle on the 34th Street (1947)

A feel-good and light-hearted film that’s in the league of “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Mr.Smith goes to Washington”, this film is about the existence of Santa Claus. Santa Claus (a man named Kris Krinkle) descends in New York and, by chance, is hired to ‘play’ Santa Claus in the Christmas parade for the super-store Macy’s. Since it’s Christmas, the store decides to utilize him to have more customers. But he is honest and directs the customers to other stores if there is no appropriate item at Macy’s.
